Rock Well is strictly monitored by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), which oversees the safety of all mining activities in the United States. MSHA perform regular, unannounced inspections on mines across the United States.

Rock Well's Greybull field operation received zero workplace injuries and zero citations in 2007.
